David Lynch Films I Watched in Amsterdam

On my way to Rotterdam to attend IFFR, I made a stop in Amsterdam to watch David Lynch films at Eye, they were scheduled shortly after the news of his death, screening in memory of him and his work. Generally, cinemas in many countries have scheduled David Lynch films and it feels like a collective mourning and appreciation of his work.

I watched more David Lynch films in Amsterdam after I cut short my stay in Rotterdam from a week to five days. I was glad I was in a place showing his films because it is unlikely for see his films in Dubai cinemas).

Quite a few were rewatches which I found quite rewarding and noticing new things or seeing more and more connections and links to Twin Peaks. I also finally got to see The Elephant Man for the first time, and a small selection of his short films that were screened at Criterion.

A few stills and film quotes that I’ve been thinking about.
