Lido Walks

I recently got back from the Venice Film Festival, my second time after attending last year. I will write about it soon, but for now here are photos from my walks on the island of Lido where the festival takes place.

This year I stayed in Lido the whole time, and experienced two different sides to it, the busy festival side that includes celebrities, fans, media, red carpet buzz, and a quiet much more chilled side of the island where I enjoyed going for walks, macchiato breaks and regular swims. A perfect end of summer trip. I already miss seeing the aunties and nonnas of Lido.

Note: The English translation of “per ricordare sempre chi si” in the 9th photo is “to always remember who you are. According to Google Translate anyway.
