Missing You by John Waite

This morning, whilst I was having a coffee at my neighbourhood cafe, Missing You by John Waite came on, a song from 1984 and an old time favourite that I have not heard in ages.

Listening to it today, I suppose it would be described as “Dad Rock”, but who cares, it still sounds young and current to me.

And there's a storm that's raging
Through my frozen heart tonight

I hear your name in certain circles
And it always makes me smile
I spend my time
Thinking about you
And it's almost driving me wild

And it's my heart that's breakin'
Down this long distance line tonight

I ain't missing you at all (Missing you)
Since you've been gone (Missing you)
Away
I ain't missing you (Missing you)
No matter, what my friends say (Missing you)
