Music Monday - PVTLVS
PVTLVS (pronounced as Private Lives) is a band from Los Angeles and currently based in Berlin. PVTLVS consists of Nick Zorn and Vasco Cesaretti have been friends since they took lessons from the same violin teacher at the age of five.
They've released a song called Last Calls, described as a "synth pop ode to a rough breakup" and will be releasing their debut album (online and as limited press vinyl) this winter.
I came across this song via The Fox Is Black who wrote the song reminds him of a "more exciting version of The xx". I found parts of the song reminds me of The National. Quite a melancholic song. The line "I am only a part of you / If you will let me " is wrought with heartache.
